For people with poor eyesight or completely blind, stick and dog are no longer the best tools to be helped. New technologies are arriving to improve the lifestyle of people with this kind of deseases.
Indeed, fortunately today there are a many startup born to help people with eyes handicaps and I want show you one of these, is named “Aira” and I think is based on a pretty idea.
Substantially Aira gives you an human assistant who sees in your place, thanks to smart glasses worn by you.
Aira doesn’t help you all day long, but you can ask for the help of an assisstant when your cane or your dog are not enought to solve a situation.
You just tap on your smart glasses to receive an help immediately.
Your assistants can help you to overcome a barrier on the sidewalk, can read the bill or the newspaper for you or help you to find an open seat in a bus…it can even recognizes someone, just matching his/her face with the Facebook photo profile.
Aira even knows always where you are, using google maps geolocation and can help you in taking the right path to reach the place where you want to go.
